Job Description

We are looking for a Social Media Strategist to join our client’s in-house creative group. The Social Media Strategist is focused on projects that bring the brand to life through social channels. You’ll work closely with the Brand Leader on projects that mainly support the Social Media strategy of the Corporate Affairs department, in addition to other projects as assigned. You’ll be involved from ideation to execution and have a high-level strategic mindset.

This is a fully remote role with Toledo or Columbus, Ohio local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the brand leader and the digital communications team to develop and execute social media campaigns aligned to brand and corporate communications strategy and goals.
  • Work with the brand leader and digital communications team to ensure visual content is optimized and channel specific.
  • Work with a digital communications team to help manage social media content calendars across LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and more.
  • Work closely with brand leaders to manage internal brand and creative social channels to educate on, and promote the brand, creative and in-house team.
  • Design and publish compelling, consistent creative assets for all digital platforms that reflect the enterprise brand to drive online engagement.
  • Ensure that all graphics are developed, delivered and published on time across all digital platforms.
  • Draft and schedule posts to social media channels, maintaining brand voice and messaging as appropriate for each channel.
  • Compile weekly and monthly reports for social channels.
  • Monitor social media feeds and find opportunities to grow audiences.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and technologies to continually improve and evolve our social media content to be relevant and engaging.
  • Accommodate other interdepartmental design assignments such as production, print and digital design as needed and appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications, Graphic Design or similar.
  • 2-4 years of related work experience, supporting clients in a high-traffic design environment (agency settings).
  • Mastery of social media platforms, trends, metrics, reporting, and strategy (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest).
  • Understanding of SEO, web traffic metrics, and HTML/CSS.
  • Proficient knowledge of current graphic design software, tools, and techniques. Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • MUST be comfortable in a MAC and PC environment.
