The Company
Dandy is a Fuzzy owned, intelligent platform that is reimagining the way we care for our pets. We are starting with personalized supplement treats to make it easier for pet parents to take a holistic, proactive approach to their dog’s wellness and planning to expand additional products in the near future.
We’re a fast-paced team of dog-lovers and entrepreneurs who are looking to flip the pet industry on its head through technology, design and creative storytelling. We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented individual to join the team as Operations Manager for Dandy. This person will report to the GM and is responsible for ensuring all operations run smoothly.
The Role
We are looking for our first Operations Manager to join the team! Our Operations Manager will be responsible for managing our fulfillment, manufacturing, and retail relationships ensuring delivery of product throughout our supply chain. They will also be responsible for monitoring existing stock – track damaged/defective products, perform weekly and monthly inventory counts ensuring products on the website are available for purchase.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our operations team, e-commerce planning, and marketing teams to coordinate new product launches and inventory management.
- Communicate with our customer support team and management on any issues that are impacting customer orders.
- Own relationship with key retail partners and internal support teams.
- Keep up to date on multiple systems used in the order management process.
- Improve systems by studying and challenging current practices; designing modifications.
- Maintain progress reports and sales reports.
- Follow up on vendor orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
- Collaborate with shipping vendor on claims, providing invoices and proof as needed.
- Communicate with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.
- Manage existing orders and recommend purchase of additional merchandise based on knowledge of complete product lines, features, functionality and intended combinations.
What We’re Looking For
- University or four-year college degree in business, or equivalent combination of education and experience focused on operations
- Experience working with large retail partners (ie Walmart, Costco, Target, etc)
- A minimum of 3 years of operations experience with responsibility for order tracking, experience managing 3PLs, and logistics companies.
- Experience in a high growth, direct to consumer, venture backed company
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter who brings a level of passion, enthusiasm, and focus to their day-to-day work
- Able to manage deadlines, be flexible with change, drive to timely resolution
- Able to perform multiple complex assignments concurrently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to not only lead fearlessly as a contributor, but also take direction and work with a team
