This is a remote role and open to anyone within the United States (all work must be done in the US).
The salary range for this role is $137,277 to $205,915; however, Findhelp considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education and training, and key skills. We also provide generous benefits and a stock option package to all our employees.
The role:
As a Principal Engineer in the Platform Engineering division, you will play a leading role in developing robust processes and automation for the tools our engineering teams use. Your day-to-day activities will include designing a self-service infrastructure-as-code approach to our cloud projects, ensuring the availability of our services through a sustainable on-call rotation, and building the tools to enable our development teams to ship and monitor their code with as much confidence as possible.
The team you will be joining is made up of senior engineers with different skills and experiences, including cloud infrastructure, operations, site reliability engineering, and development. You will work in close collaboration with the other members of your team through standard Scrum practices.

Experience You’ll Bring:
- At least a total of 10 years of experience as a web, operations, security, infrastructure, or devops engineer, some of which should have come while at a cloud-based SaaS company
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including proven ability to standardize, upgrade, and redeploy legacy services and clusters with minimal downtime
- AND some expertise in at least two of the following:
- GCP, particularly GKE, AppEngine, cloud functions, pub/sub
- SaaS application and infrastructure alerting and monitoring
- cloud-first infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi, Terraform, or AWS CDK
- database administration, particularly MySQL
- Python or Javascript development test-driven development (not merely writing tests, but “red, green, refactor”)
