We’re looking for an amazing Technical Product Manager to fill this role. You’ll be responsible for acting as a point of risk escalation for the team, understanding and representing user needs, formulating a problem-solving and decision-making approach to handle issues, communicating the application support policies, procedures, and SLA to the relevant parties, monitoring and reviewing service levels, helping to manage overall prioritizations between production incidents/problems, release management, upgrades, and new application implementation, serving as a point of escalation for operational incidents; ensuring the appropriate resources are engaged for timely action and proper traction.

Responsibilities

Application, Infrastructure, and Operations Support and Delivery

Provides technical knowledge and capabilities as a subject matter expert

Troubleshoot/Support complex technology issues with a high degree of ownership

Ensures activities falling within their scope of responsibility comply with privacy, security and compliance policies and requirements (SOX, PCI, etc.)

Collaborates internally within team and across teams to identify and fix technical issues or drive design or implementation of new products or features

Provides support to critical and non-critical enterprise and proprietary systems with a high degree of ownership

Ensures escalations to other IT support members is transitioned effectively

Provide support outside of normal working hours as needed to maintain service levels for production systems

Provides and ensures software requirements, processes, and procedures are documented and maintained when applicable.

Manages individual tasks and timelines and is accountable for delivery

Works and collaborates effectively in a team environment with a mixed audience (Business Users, First Level Support, Executives)

Contributes to application projects delivering solutions which meet or exceed quality standards

Provides or recommends application and process improvements where applicable

Pro-actively identifies risks and roadblocks to success

Liaise between external software, hardware, and support vendors within the IT department when applicable.

Good communication skills with all audiences (external vendors, end-users, and management).

Adhere to IT Compliance and Security of all supported applications.

Adheres to company ITIL principles and processes.

Please note that this position can be 100% remote, US only

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED, Associate’s Degree.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Deep understanding of technology with emphasis on software development.

Systematic approach to troubleshooting problems.

Understanding of modern software design patterns 7+ years’ experience in software engineering, including experience managing production systems. Area of expertise will vary by team but may include (Java, .NET, Cobol) Experience working in an agile environment.

Demonstrated success working on software engineering problems that span multiple products.

Demonstrated ability to deliver through other software engineers.

Ability to demonstrate company core values in daily interactions.

Evidence of a strong sense of ownership and product understanding. Prior experience with operational support for a critical business or commercial system.

Minimum 5+ years working in IT Support.

Minimum 5+ years working on IT Projects.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).
