The Regional Solutions and Services Business Unit’s Midwest Zone is seeking a Financial Analyst (FA). The FA drives and manages operational reporting for the $300M Midwest Zone, with an emphasis on driving processes, profitability, and compliance. Collaboration with peers within the finance team, zone management, branch management, sales management, operations management, and the business unit headquarters requires a lot of personal interaction and very good communication skills. This is a great opportunity right at the heart of the business! This position is hybrid, with 2 days assigned to the local office and 3 days home office based.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a wide field of financial analysis and reporting for Service and Solution Operations (e.g., weekly Operations Report, Slip/Pipe Reporting, Timesheets & Utilization)
  • Manages absorption reporting, including cost analysis, forecasting, labor rate calculations, and troubleshooting for the zone.
  • Continuously improves existing reporting landscape with a focus on process automation and improved value-add to internal customers
  • Conducts controlling activities for Projects and Service Orders (Cost to complete reviews, margin analysis, slip analysis)
  • Resolves Purchase Order and GR/IR issues
  • Supports Operations in the reconciliation of PCA/claims and SOVs
  • Manages service reporting portfolio for the zone, including billing blocks, service agreements, and billing due reports.
  • Processes Journal Entry requests and job cost transfers
  • Supports ad-hoc requests from management / HQ
  • Coordinates requests for RIC testing and E&Y audits
  • Acts as subject matter expert for Rate Workbook tool and process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar preferred
  • Profound financial work experience with a strong focus on earnings, financial reporting, and business analysis; 3+ years preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
  • Skills in leading-edge analytics/visualization tools preferred (i.e., Power BI, Alteryx, Knime, Qlik, Tableau)
  • Experience in SAP, Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to quickly develop understanding of business characteristics
  • Must have excellent written and presentation skills
  • Exceptional relationship building and communication skills
